1. About ViolaMed

ViolaMed is a digital platform that connects patients with licensed doctors and therapists for online consultations, appointment bookings, document sharing, and medical discussions. ViolaMed is not a medical provider and does not offer medical diagnoses or treatment.

2. User Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old or have parental/guardian consent.
  • You must provide accurate and complete information when registering an account.
  • Doctors and therapists must verify their credentials to offer services.

3. Medical Disclaimer

  • ViolaMed is an intermediary connecting patients with medical professionals.
  • We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
  • Users should always consult a licensed healthcare professional before making medical decisions.
  • In case of a medical emergency, call 112 (Germany) or visit the nearest hospital.

4. User Accounts & Security

  • Users must create an account to access services.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
  • Any unauthorized use of your account must be reported immediately.
  • Doctors & therapists must verify their professional licenses to provide services.

5. Booking Appointments & Payments

  • Users can book online consultations with licensed doctors and therapists.
  • Fees for consultations may vary and will be displayed before booking.
  • Cancellations & refunds follow each doctor’s cancellation policy.

6. Document Upload & Data Privacy

  • Users can upload medical documents to share with their doctors.
  • Documents are stored securely and are only accessible to authorized users.
  • ViolaMed complies with GDPR and German data protection laws.

7. In-App Communication & AI Chatbot

  • Users can chat with doctors for non-emergency medical inquiries.
  • ViolaMed offers an AI chatbot for general medical guidance.
  • The AI chatbot does not replace professional consultation.

8. Code of Conduct

Users agree to:

  • Be respectful to doctors and other users.
  • Provide accurate medical history when consulting professionals.
  • Not misuse or abuse the platform.

Doctors/Therapists agree to:

  • Maintain professional ethics when providing consultations.
  • Keep patient data confidential and comply with medical standards.

9. Insurance & Reimbursement

  • Some services may be covered by health insurance in Germany.
  • Users must check with their insurance provider for eligibility.
  • ViolaMed does not guarantee reimbursement from insurance companies.

10. Liability & Limitations

  • ViolaMed does not replace traditional medical care.
  • We are not liable for medical decisions made by doctors or users based on our platform.
  • We do not guarantee availability of doctors at all times.
  • Users agree that ViolaMed is not responsible for damages, injuries, or legal claims.

11. Termination & Account Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for:

  • Providing false information.
  • Misuse of medical services.
  • Harassment or misconduct.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

  • These Terms are governed by German law.
  • Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Düsseldorf, Germany.
  • Users can contact ViolaMed Support before taking legal action.

13. Changes to Terms

ViolaMed may update these Terms periodically. We will notify users of significant changes. Continued use of our platform after updates means you accept the new Terms.
